In November 1927, the  Transjordan Postal, Telegram and Telephone Service, issued the Transjordan Jordan Stamps 1927 New Currency set. The set consists of 13 stamps.

Moreover, the Transjordan Jordan Stamps 1927 New Currency set holds Stanley Gibbons catalogue # 159 – 171.

Further, this set has a special historical value, as the first set issued specifically for Jordan. And bearing the image of His Highness the founder and Emir of Jordan Abdullah I.

Kawar Collectibles is offering a full set of 13 stamps, in lightly hinged / lightly mounted condition, of the Transjordan Jordan Stamps 1927 New Currency.

In addition, the New Currency stamps, showcase one design with the image of His Majesty the late King Abdullah I.

These stamps came in different colours and 2 sizes. Moreover, the set of 13 stamps hold the values of 2,3,4,5,10,15,20,50,90,100,200,500 and 1000 Milliemes.

Notice,  the value of these stamps in numbers only (on both sides of the stamps). Collectors call this set the double-figure stamps.

Since the change of currency from Egyptian to Palestinian was anticipated. Therefore, the government did not add any currency to the stamps, in order to avoid overprinting or reprinting of stamps in the future.
